The room was amazing and lovely, friendly staff. Beautiful furniture, I liked the comfortable bed.
Great location, 8 minutes drive from the airport. For shots visit Yardbird, nestled within 5 minutes' walk of the hotel. We stayed here to visit albert memorial clock that was right by the venue👍😃
The luxurious surroundings, the excellent staff attention to detail. Any request to staff was absolutely no problem. The merchant is definately a great asset to Belfast and far outpasses any hotel we have stayed in through out the world. Fantastic
we stayed in room321 at the end of a a corridor, and the only complaint about our whole stay is that as we left and approached our room each time we could either see trays of left over room service food on the floor through the glass door( into i think it was a stairway for staff,) and on one occasion there was a grubby white trolley piled high with left over food plates and dirty glasses etc. A bit off- putting. apart from this our stay was excellent!
From the moment we arrived at The Merchant we were made welcome by the very friendly and accomodating staff , The decor and ambience of the hotel compliment each other perfectly and relaxing at night in berts jazz bar listening to excellent smooth jazz was the cherry on top . All in all a wonderful experience ! Forgot to mention breakfast in the breathtaking great room , FANTASTIC . We will be back .
This hotel was amazing and the best that we have ever stayed in. Beautiful decor, impecable staff and spotlessly clean. The fine touches simply added to our experience. Cant wait to come back. Simply decadent!!
This is without doubt an outstanding hotel. It provides the ultimate in comfort , elegance and style. The staff are first class with nothing being too much trouble. The service in The Great Room Restaurant and Berts Bar is exemplary. Dining is a most enjoyable experience. It was our silver wedding and the hotel made it a perfect experience.
The staff were superb nothing too much trouble facilities superb.

Some extras were very expensive
Very difficult to chose one best thing as it was 1st class from start to finish.Staff friendly and very efficient, rooms excellent, cocktails fabulous and breakfast the perfect start to the day. Will def be back
It was so opulent and you were made to feel very special.
The fire alarm going off in my room at approx 3.00am
I enjoyed the bars and atmosphere
Our 1st time staying here though we occassionally come to have a cocktail. Stayed in one of the art deco rooms and thought it was fab - one of the best i've ever been in and also one of the biggest - it was disabled access. No expense has been spared in the room and public areas of the hotel. The staff were very attentive. As always love sitting in the cocktail bar.
Although i love the cocktail bar the prices are exorbitant. £10 each for the cocktails and they didn't seem up to their usual standard - 4 drinks cost us £35. Was very dissappointed in the breakfast - not 5* dining. My soft omlette turned into a very overcooked tough spanish tortilla!! They could take direction from somewhere like the Shelbourne Dublin for a fantastic 5" breakfast. Would have been more anoyed if i'd payed full price for the stay.
The whole experience from William taking my case to my room and explaining where everything was. The cocktails later when I returned from Christmas shopping. The comfort of the beds and the lack of noise even though it faces onto waring street and there was lots of traffic and people it was minimal.
